VM Networking

Public Internet Access

Every VM and Cloud Networking instance includes 100 Mbps of internet bandwidth. You can scale up bandwidth tiers as needed and assign IPv4 or IPv6 space for static routing or NAT access.

Service Description Monthly Price
100 Mbps per VM or instance Standard tier, included with every VM FREE
1 Gbps per VM or instance Upgrade for higher throughput workloads $49.00
10 Gbps per VM or instance High-speed public bandwidth for large-scale workloads $299.00
IPv4 /28 Routed block, customer NAT or direct assignment $160.00
IPv6 /64 Routed block, ready for dual-stack environments $79.00

Private Internal Access

Every VM or Cloud Networking instance includes 1 Gbps of private internal access.

Private bandwidth between virtual machines and integrated cloud services such as WAF and NGFW is fully unmetered and incurs no ingress or egress charges within the same zone.

Bandwidth availability depends on the selected Machine Family tier.

VM or Instance Port Cost-Optimized Balanced Memory-Optimized Frequency-Optimized Thread-Optimized Price (Monthly)
1 Gbps FREE
10 Gbps $49.00
25 Gbps $149.00
50 Gbps $399.00
100 Gbps $799.00

Multi Zone or Region Access

For workloads that span multiple zones or regions, the following Direct Connect rates apply. These rates are billed in addition to the Private Internal Access Port Speed pricing shown above. All local zone, cross zone, and cross region traffic remains unmetered.

Local Zone

A local zone means traffic stays within the same zone, such as us-east1. Locations like us-east1 and us-east12 are treated as separate zones.

Cross Zone

A cross zone means traffic moves between zones in the same region, such as between us-east1 and us-east2. These are nearby but physically separate locations, used for low-latency, high-availability workloads.

Cross Region

A cross region refers to traffic between zones in different regions. For example, if your workloads are in us-east1, then traffic to us-west1 is considered cross region.

Cross Continent

Cross Continent Direct Connects are available but priced separately. Please work with your Technical Account Manager for custom arrangements between the US and international zones.

NGFW Port Local Zone Cross Zone Direct Connect Cross Region Direct Connect
1 Gbps FREE $1,500.00 $3,750.00
10 Gbps FREE $5,000.00 $12,500.00
25 Gbps FREE $6,500.00 $16,250.00
50 Gbps FREE $8,500.00 $21,250.00
100 Gbps FREE $12,500.00 $31,250.00

Zones within the same region are ideal for high-availability or fault-tolerant designs, while cross region configurations are typically used for geographic redundancy, global applications, or compliance-driven architectures.

It is a fully supported configuration to route all private internal traffic between zones through one or more NetFire Cloud NGFW instances. These instances can then distribute connectivity to VMs within the target zone, enabling cost optimization.

Committed use agreements are required for all Cross Zone, Cross Region and Cross Contintent connectivity.
